Each year in March, the Fund organizes a ceremony at the IDF Hall in the Gelilot military base, where it awards prizes and scholarships to promote the writing and publication of papers and also research focusing on terrorism. Additionally, it rewards outstanding activities in this area, to cultivate and encourage the study of terrorism.
The papers submitted thus far were written by students from educational institutions throughout Israel – universities, colleges and high schools, as well as by former and current members of the security and intelligence communities. These submissions, which earned their authors prizes and scholarships, have been entered into the database of the CSS, and are accessible to the public at large.
Since Inbar Fund’s establishment, 677 papers were submitted for evaluation, and 85 were awarded monetary prizes.
Additionally, the Fund provided significant financial support to the following projects:
A workshop of coping with situations of terrorism, delivered to inhabitants of northern Israel
The National Security College for Youths
The publication of a book of poems in memory of the victims of the terror attack at the Dolphinarium, Tel Aviv
The design of a secure bus stop
The Fund is headed by Brigadier General (res.) Danny Rothschild.
